Ujjain : Former members of Simhastha Fair Local Organising Committees imparted their valuable suggestions for successful organiaations of Simhastha Fair-2016. A meeting to seek suggestions from city veterans was organised at Brahaspathi Bhavan on Friday.
Simhastha Fair Authority chairman Diwakar Natu and Collector Kavindra Kiyawat were present during the meeting. Former members shared their experience and discussed several points to host the grand event successfully. Natu said that Simhastha Fair will be organised with cooperation and coordination of all. Foolproof planning should be done to make devotees pleased and there should not have any lapses. Preparations for hosting the successful event, everyone has to involve into making arrangements.
Former Mayor Radheshyam Upadhyaya said that suggestions given by veterans should be considered. Veteran astrologer Pt Anandshankar Vyas said dedicated volunteers should be deployed for discharging their duties sincerely during Simhastha. Divers should be deputed at the banks of Kshipra. Roop Pamnani said veterans should make physical verification of development works being done by administration. Narmada water should be transported to flow in Kshipra. There is acute need of cleaning of Kshipra and rejuvenation of temples. It was suggested by veterans that the required amount of land should be acquired for Simhastha Fair area. Representatives of Akharas which will join the grand religious festival should be contacted. Several more suggestions were given regarding renovation of piers, availability of potable water, crowd management, keeping Simhastha area clean and others. Dwarkadhish Choudhary, Rajendra Bharti, Madanlal Lalawat, Ashok Prajapat, Shiva Kotwani and others were present.
