Ujjain: City will likely to have an All India Radio ( AIR) centre in April. During parliamentary session, Member of Parliament ( MP) Premchand Guddu raised the issue of opening an ( AIR) Centre in Ujjain.

MP Guddu raised the issue during parliamentary session in Delhi on March 5. He questioned Union Minister of State for Information Manish Tiwari about under constructed AIR centre in Ujjain. Tiwari in reply said nine new AIR centres had been constructed in the state of MP. AIR centres will be opened soon after recruitment of staff. Construction of AIR centre is in final stage at Vidyapathi Nagar here having facility of five kilowatt FM transmitter.

MP Guddu also met Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal for approval of gauge conversion of Fatehabad- Ujjain track in the present budget. Guddu was assured by the Union minister about development of Ujjain and adjoining railway station for coming Simhastha Fair.
