Ujjain : Some unidentified accused broke into a house located at Alkapuri in the wee hours on Monday. They attacked on the residents of the house after looting away cash and jewelry. Police declared reward of Rs 25, 000 on giving clues for accused. Sensation prevailed in the posh locality of Alkapuri on Udyan Marg after some unidentified accused broke into the house of Ashok Kumar son of Prem Kumar Shukla on Monday morning. Ashok Kumar is an assistant manager of SBI Nai Sadak branch.
He lives along with his wife Mala Shukla and mother Sarla Shukla. His daughter studies in Indore. Police informed that four accused burgled into the house of Shukla from backside after breaking window grill in the wee hours of Monday. Masked burglars carried sharp edged weapons through which they attacked Shukla who had awaken after hearing the noise.
Shukla’s wife and mother woke up listening to the cries of Shukla who was injured by accused with a rod. They made Shukla family bondage and stole away cash of Rs 50, 000 and jewelry worth Rs 3 lakh and other domestic goods. It is very surprising that Shukla’s house is located at the distance of one km from SP bungalow.
Several others including magistrate and senior police officials also reside at some distance. It is speculated that accused committed the entire incident in a very relaxed manner. After the accused fled away committing the theft, Shukla’s wife informed police about the incident. Madhav Nagar police reached at the spot and investigated into the case. IG V Madhukumar, SP MS Verma, CSP Vijay Dabar and police station in-charge MS Parmar reached at the spot and recorded statements of victim family. Police suspect involvement of Pardi or Bheel gang in the loot.
