Body of newborn found

Ujjain: The body of a newborn girl child was found afloat in the Kshipra River near the Ramghat on Friday. The priests noticed the girl child and informed the police. The police went to the spot and rushed the baby girl to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The body was found wrapped in a polythene bag floating above the water. Police officials said it appeared that the parents of the baby girl dumped in the river. We are trying to locate the parents of the baby, said a police official at Mahakal police station. The police have registered a case under Section 317 of the IPC against unknown accused.
