Ujjain : Many bird-lovers visited the Bird Interpretation Centre inaugurated at Udyan Marg to mark World Environment Day here on Thursday. Spectators were enthralled to visit an exhibition of about 80 species of Ujjain including migratory and residents.The Bird Interpretation Centre was inaugurated by District Forest Officer Padampriya Balakrishnan. Guests of honour were Prof Pathak and Prof Kumawat. An exhibition of photographs clicked by bird specialist Saikat Chandra was held at the opening of Bird Interpretation Centre. Chanda was honoured by DFO for his contribution towards the Interpretation Centre. Around 160 species of birds have been spotted in Ujjain including migratory and residents.  Addressing on this occasion DFO Balakrishnan said that an initiative has been taken which will emerge as one of the well known centre where students and bird enthusiasts can come and identify the birds.
