Ujjain : Citizens have come ahead to extend financial help to Nepal earthquake victims. They are collecting funds from public and traders to forward it to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Bharatiya Gyanpeeth Ujjain on Thursday handed over a bank draft of Rs 10, 000 to Collector Kavindra Kiyawat for quake victims.
Chairman Krishna mangal Singh Kulshreshtha made appeal to staff members for extending help for the victims. Principal Dr Neelam Mahadik, Prof Girish Pandya and Mukutlal Mathur were present.
Bicycle rally on Sunday
District Administration is organising a bicycle rally to express sympathy towards Nepal earthquake victims and to impart a message of environment conservation, here on Sunday. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat addressing a press conference informed that bicycle rally will begin from Kothi Parisar at 5 pm on Sunday. It will pass through Teen Batti, Tower Chowk, Chamunda Chouraha, Dewasgate, Malipura, Topkhana, Mahakal Chouraha, Patni Bazaar, Chhattri Chowk and will conclude at Kshir Sagar ground. Collector said that man has been facing the ire of nature in the form of earthquake and other natural calamities. Next Sunday will be observed as bicycle day. Cycling is good for health. The proposal was put before Collector by Ishwar Patel, Om Gupta, Dr JK Jethlia, Rajesh Hardia and representatives of Coaching Classes.
