The story is based on a happy Hindu couple who have no children after marriage. The wife suggests that many couples have been blessed by a certain church in Vailankani and they should visit this shrine. The husband opposes the decision.
Somehow the wife convinces her husband and they go to Vailankani ( Chennai) on a pilgrimage. Soon they are blessed with a son.
A happy family, the son is brought up and educated in a convent school and college.
Everything goes well until Prakash ( the son), with all his Christian leanings, gets visions of Mary in his dreams and he decides to become a priest. He informs his mother, but the father opposes his decision. The mother tries to convince her husband but to no avail. The boy is disturbed and confronted from all angles… and this is what the play is all about.
