ADEO dies during election duty

Ujjain: An Assistant District Excise Officer ( ADEO) died of heart attack during election duty on Monday. According to information, ADEO Abdul Vahab, 55, son of Abdul Hameed, a resident of Begam Bagh Colony, died while being taken to the Civil Hospital.He was deputed in the flying squad of excise department for Ujjain South constituency.

He rendered the services till whole Sunday and conducted night patrolling at Sanver Road. According to sources, Khan complained of chest pain at about 3 pm on Monday at Ghata Ghar located Control Room of the department.His colleagues shifted him to his residence where he again complained of chest pain and died on the way when was being taken to the Civil Hospital.

This incident created a lot of panic among the excisedepartment sleuths. Close relatives of Khan also complained that he was forced to perform the election duty despite sickness. Deputy commissioner, excise, Raghvendra Upadhyaya and other officials also rushed to the Civil Hospital to pacify the people. More details into the matter are awaited.
