Ujjain : The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) celebrated its 65th foundation day as national students day by taking out a grand vehicle rally here on Wednesday.

City secretary of ABVP Nitin Bijapari informed that the ABVP was established on July 9, 1949, with the aim to develop a feeling of nationalism within students. The vehicle rally was led by a trailer, on which a statue of Swami Vivekananda was placed.

Rally was followed by large number of parishad members on bikes. The procession passed through the areas where prominent educational institutes are located and culminated at Vikram University (VU). Registrar Dr BL Bunkar greeted the procession and offered flowers to statue of Swami Vivekananda.

State joint secretary Sushil Wadia, Raghvendra Chaturvedi, Nikhil BHardwaj, Shivam Rathore, Manish Dodiya, Anshul Nahar, Dilip Sharma, Abhishek Rathore, Rahul Aanjna and many other ABVP workers were present during the occasion.
