Ujjain:  A 38-year-old woman from Bhopal was rescued from Gurgaon, 20 days after she was allegedly abducted by two quack sadhus, the police said on Monday.The victim, a resident of Indraprasth Colony in Bhopal, had been missing since May 18, Suresh Kumar of Bhopal was travelling with his wife to Ujjain on train and during their journey they met a quack sant, who somehow convinced wife of Suresh that he can perform a ritual by which she will have a child, as the family didn’t have any.  When the train arrived in Ujjain and Suresh alighted but his wife and the sadhu were to be seen. Soon Suresh registered a complaint with the GRP Ujjain.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Ujjain GRP rescued the woman from a building in Gurgaon area on Sunday afternoon. Police said the woman is safe and was allegedly lured on the pretext of child about 20 days ago. Accused sadhu has been identified as Sushil Shukla of Gurgaon and his accomplice Sushil Kumar of Vrindavan. The woman said that she was raped several time by the duo. Police has arrested the main accused’s accomplice. A case under section 376 of IPC has been registered by police.
