Ujjain : Police claimed to have arrested five accused with a cache of illegal arms, here on Monday. SP MS Verma in a press conference revealed that Bhatpachlana police have arrested five accused involved in buying and selling of illegal arms.

Police arrested a suspect Kachrulal, 36, son of Kanheyalal Malviya, a resident of Baloda Lakha during the checking at Bhatpachlana and recovered a pistol. On being interrogated, Kachrulal revealed police that he had sold two pistols and two country made pistols to Narayan son of Babulal, a resident of Baloda Lakha, Mishrilal son of Pannalal, Lakhan son of Lal Singh Rajput and Kailash son of Bhagwan Singh. Police also recovered a broken ML gun from Kachrulal. After arresting all four accused Narayan, Mishrilal, Lakhan and Kailash and recovered two pistols, two countrymade pistols and a live cartridge of 12 bore. Accused Kachrulal also revealed that he had bought all illegal arms from village Sanawad of police station Kanwan. Further investigation is on.
