Barnagar/Ujjain : In a tragic turn of events, a four-year-old kid fell down inside 116 feet deep bore well while playing in the field at village Mundala of Badnagar Tehsil, on Friday morning.

Kid Aayush Parmar while playing in the field of one Kaluram fell by chance in the pit of bore well and got trapped around 28 feet deep in the hole. This news spread like wildfire of the forest and immediately villagers, rescue teams, medical teams, police, home guard cops rushed at the spot and attempts of taking child out of the bore well got started. Medical team immediately put the oxygen pipe and food materials inside the hole to save the kid from getting suffocated. Reports suggest that the mirror image of the kid got dismal after 5 pm though oxygen was continuously supplied. When police teams failed to take out kid from 8 inch wide and 116 feet deep hole in their first attempt, team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was called on the spot.

Team of SDRF quickly came in action and 33 feet deep whole was burrowed 7 feet away parallel from the pit. Geologist of Ujjain Engineering College Dr BK Singh, who was present on the spot, informed Free Press that they have tested the soil of the spot where rescue teams have dug the hole and there is no danger of sliding of soil as hard rock has come 33 feet deep in the dug. Till the report was filed, home guard cops and SDRF teams were struggling hard to pull out kid from the bore well. District Collector Kavindra Kiyawat also rushed to the spot to supervise the rescue operation. He informed that manual work to dig a horizontal canal is being carried out and they are hopeful of safe rescue of the kid.
