Ujjain: A local court on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to four accused in a case of abduction. SP Anurag Kumar informed that complainant Makhan (63), son of Umrao Singh Patidar, a resident of village Chhapri lodged a complaint against accused Mansingh, son of Devi Singh Gurjar, a resident of Jhirnya of Tarana police station; Kaluram alias Kalusingh, son of Baldev Singh, a resident of Sadikhedi; Jivan Singh, son of Bane Singh Gurjar, a resident of Dungra village of Shajapur district and Indar Singh, son of Harlal Gurjar, a resident of village Chhapri for abducting Makhan Singh and demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from his son Santosh.

Accused were booked under Section 364 A and 34 of IPC. Inspector US Tomar investigated the case after arresting the accused and presented a charge sheet in the court. AGP Manish Goyal pleaded the case while 10th Additional District Judge Shyam Bihari convicted the accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 2000 each on them.
