Ujjain: Three members of a dacoits’ gang which targeted a house in Ghonsla village on May 4 were arrested by police on Monday. Raghwi police recovered 1.5 kg silver jewellery from accused. SP Anurag Kumar in a press release informed that Raghwi police received some leaks about dacoit gang. Police arrested three accused riding on a motorbike RJ17 D1503 from village Gudakheda on Monday.

Accused were identified as Munim son of Banna Kanjar, Kushal son of Patlia Kanjar and Heera alias Kalia son of Hukmia Kanjar, all residents of village Baman Devria Kanjar Dera of district Jhalawad Rajasthan. Dacoit gang targeted the house of complainant Kamlabai Banjara resident of village Ghonsla on May 4 and stole away silver and gold jewellery.

Police registered a complaint against accused under Section 395 and 397 of IPC. Accused Heera alias Kalia was wearing the ornament which he had stolen from complainant’s house. On being interrogated accused revealed that their five other accomplices were also involved in the dacoit. Accused Munim was booked for stealing two mobikes at Jharda police station in 2011. He was also booked for involvement in dacoit in Agar in 2010.
