Ujjain: The Ghatiya police arrested four persons and rescued 15 cattle head near Ghota toll naka here on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, a police team headed by the Ghatiya police station TI intercepted four persons herding 15 cattle head towards Maharashtra without legal permission. The police arrested Laxman Singh Banjara, Premnarayan, Rafiq Khan and Majid Khan from the truck. The cattle head was found injured and was shifted to gaushalas, while the truck was impounded. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Madhya Pradesh Gau-Vansh Vadh Pratishedh Vidheyak and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act,1960.
