Ujjain : To ensure apposite banking services during the upcoming Simhastha fair the administration has managed to rope in 11 core banks, for fulfilling the purpose. To provide top notch service around 75 ATMs will be installed along with a mobile banking van in every sector of the Mela area. Around 4 foreign exchange centers will be erected during the fair and the Akhadas will be given facility of cash pick up from their locations.
An official press release confirmed about the decision on Monday. The press release said, the 11 banks have given nod, and to suffice it Bank of India and ICICI Bank have even signed MoU with the administration. Other banks which have confirmed the deal are Bank Of Baroda, Central Bank of India, SBI, Canara Bank, UCO Bank, PNB, NJGB, IDBI and HDFC.
Lead Bank Manager informed that services such as Bank cum ATM, Mobile ATM and extended service counters applied will be provided to the visitors. Johari informed that prepaid debit cards will also be available during the fair and at the Satellite towns. Prepaid cards work on the theme of pay now and use at your convenience, very similar to prepaid mobile phone cards.
