Ujjain : Businessmen of the country appear to be quite eager to possess shops in the prime commercial areas of the Simhastha Fair-2016. The run-up for making more and more business seems to be picking on the Dutt Akhara area as huge numbers of applications (1053) have been received for available 155 shops.

The Simhastha Fair Authority had invited applications for the allotment of 1145 shops in the fair area. The process commenced on February 4 and ended on February 12. Allotment in-charge Jai Singh Thakur informed that in all 2653 applications were received and highest demand was for Dutt Akhara, where 155 shops will be provided for small business actiivties at Gandharv Mela site.

According to Simhastha Fair Authority chairman, Diwakar Natu, allotment process will be started soon and lottery system will be conducted in the presence of media. He informed that shops of six categories having measurement of 100, 150, 225, 300, 375 and 450 sq ft area will, respectively, be provided to shops seekers. Rate of Rs 25 per sq ft was fixed for all types of shops. The shop keepers will have to pay power, water and other taxes in addition.
