In the cluttered laptop space, Acer has always tried to be different, while conforming to the highest standards of hardware excellence. In a bid to stay with the times, Acer recently launched its newest laptop range, featuring the much anticipated Windows 10 operating system. The one facet of Acer’s range of laptops is the fact that they use premium materials in constructing their machines. With this latest set of laptops too, this proud tradition continues. Unlike Dell or Lenovo machines, each Acer machine is distinctive and easily recognisable.

First of all, they aren’t called Netbooks or Notebooks, instead they’ve been christened Cloudbooks. The three models have been christened the Acer Aspire E5-573, Aspire V Nitro and the Aspire R13.

The Acer Aspire E5-573, is present in two size variants and is powered by the latest Intel Core Processors. Present in the 14 inch and the 15.6 inch brackets, these laptops have been designed to breeze through daily tasks and a little extra by way of graphics processing. Both variants sport a unique A-cover and D-cover, that is 3D printed for a plush feel. They sport 5th generation Intel Core processors, that are in essence faster and more frugal in power consumption.

The graphics are more than ably managed by NVidia’s 920M GPU. The laptops have their own DDR3 VRAMs and can support up to 16 gigs of RAM, and 1TB of ROM. What’s most impressive about these machines is the fact that they go above and beyond the ordinary, in order to deliver the absolute best in precision and performance. Featuring Acer’s in house TrueHarmony audio technology, the playback on these speakers is phenomenal. Other handy features include Skype certification, Windows digital assistant Cortana and of course all the other bells and whistles you have come to expect. And all this at a tentative price point of Rs. 26,990/-

Designed with the avid gamer in mind, the Acer V Nitro is a marvellous machine. For the power hungry and FPS obsessed gaming enthusiast, this is real manna from heaven. The machine sports, the latest 5th gen Intel Core i5 processor, married to a 2 or 4 gig Nvidia GeForce GTX960M GPU. Slated to be available in both 8 and 12 GB RAM versions they also come equipped with a whopping 1TB HDD. Also equipped are Acer DustDefender tech and Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre with four speakers. This beast will retail at a mammoth Rs. 110,000 price tag, and is in competition with Asus, Razer and Alienware. We think Acer might have a world beater on its hands.

For those who want to use a tablet with the power of a traditional laptop, the Acer Aspire R13 should be right up their alley. This hybrid laptop comes with a plethora of modes. Use it as a laptop to do your daily chores, a tablet to read or surf the net, or even as a desktop machine. This beauty operates exceptionally well in all these modes. Under the hood you’ll find a fifth gen-Intel Core i5 SoC, 8GB of RAM, and up to a 512GB SSD. Set to retail at just a tad under 90k, this machine will definitely get you a second look and probably make you feel over-productive as well!
