A 38-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after his motorcycle collided with a towing van on Mumbai-Nashik Highway. The Kalwa police have registered a case of negligence against the driver of the towing van and are investigating the matter.
The police said the incident took place near Kharegaon toll naka, on Mumbai Nashik Highway on Tuesday evening. The victim identified as Pramod Mistri, 38, died on the spot and was shifted to Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj hospital in Kalwa.
The Kalwa police have registered a case of negligence and rash driving against the driver of the towing van and are investigating the matter.
In another incident, a TATA Truck of Borewell Drilling Machine collided with Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The accident took place on Tuesday night at Nitin-Cadbury Flyover, towards Nashik lane, near Korum mall, Thane west. The Traffic Police officials and Regional disaster management cell were present on the spot and removed the TATA Truck & Mercedes Car to one side of the road and cleared the traffic on Mumbai-Nashik road. The car driver Rakhi Barodiya, 33, was marginally injured and has been shifted to Jupiter hospital in Thane west.
