Mumbai: World Champion Prashant More, former Asian and National Champion Sandeep Deorukhkar and former SAARC & Asian Champion Hidayt Ansari, are among the leading player who will be competing in the Rs 1.1 lakh prize-money Bombay YMCA Mumbai District Ranking Carrom Tournamnet at the YMCA branch, Agripada from Feb 11 to 15.
This five-day tournament will consist of men’s and women’s singles. Over 350 carrom Mumbai players have confirmed their participation. The other big guns who will be seen in action include Mahendra Tambe, Anant Gayatry, Riyaz Akbar Ali and Nagsen Etambe.
The women’s competition will see top players which include Kajal Kumari, Anupama Kedar, Sangeeta Chandorkar and Shilpa Palnitkar. International Umpire JV Sangam (Mumbai) has been appointed as chief referee and he will be assisted by referee Sunil Khemkar.
