Mumbai: KH Vaccha’s Caprisca, ridden by Sandesh, bagged the CN Wadia Gold Cup, the main attraction of Sunday’s (March 10) races. Imtiaz Sait, who trains the winner, saddled two more winners during the day. The Wadia Group hosted the Gold Cup at Mahalaxmi racecourse in memory of Sir Cusrow Wadia. The event also coincided with the completion of 100 years of Britannia Industries.
The event held at the paddock area of the racecourse was buzzing with programmes and performances that aimed to enhance awareness on malnutrition. Over 12.5 lakh children are dying from malnutrition, underweight related problems every year across the nation, according to government reports.
