Mumbai : Union Bank of India (UBI) finished the year on a high. The bankers struck good form to hand Central Railway a 4-0 defeat in an Elite Division encounter of the MDFA League – 2014-15, and played at the Cooperage ground on Wednesday evening. Union Bank enjoyed a 2-0 cushion at the end of the first half.
The highlight of Union Bank’s victory was striker Aaron D’Costa who scored twice in the second session after Shannon Pereira and Titus Uttankar had struck a goal each in the first half.
There will be no match at this venue on Thursday, January 1, 2015. The next round of Elite Division match will be played between ONGC and Indian Navy at 3.30 pm on Friday, January 2, 2015.
