With the Tokyo Olympics round the corner, every sports fan in India is waiting to see the Indian contingent take the center stage.

In order to ensure that maximum support is provided to all the players and support staff, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has stated that participation of Indian Teams & sportspersons for Tokyo Olympics 2020 are being reviewed round the clock.

Ministry has decided to depute maximum additional support staff such as coaches, doctors, physiotherapists, to optimize performance of athletes.

Moreover, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Narinder Batra recently announced that the final call on the names of the two flag bearers for India will be taken at the end of the month.

Speaking to ANI, the IOA chief had said that an official announcement of the names will be made by the end of the month after all the teams have been announced for the showpiece event.

"You will have to wait till the last week of this month for all the teams to be finally announced. Let the teams be announced and then we can name the flagbearers. Some teams have been announced, but some are still left as in archery we still have qualifications going on among others. When we get the final list, it will be announced."
