Olympics have always garnered a huge audience and views from all over the world. The support and craze for this tournament are tremendous. And one such incident of its craziness unfolded on Monday when The International Olympic Committee revealed that the Tokyo 2020 Olympics have generated $3 billion in domestic sponsorship revenues alone.

Around 62 companies have signed for local sponsorship agreement for all three tiers of the sponsorship agreement. Out of this, 32 have signed as official partners, 15 as gold partners and 15 as official supporters.

However, the whopping $3 billion dollars does not include the partnerships with Toyota, Bridgestone and Panasonic and their contributions to the TOP programme. They have separate deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars as major sponsors of organisation with the IOC.

Reportedly, 7.5 million ticket requests were made by Japanese through a lottery system which shows the enthusiasm and support to the International sports meet.
