The defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders started their CPL 2018 campaign on a winning note as they registered a 100-run victory over St Lucia Stars. Colin Munro and Denesh Ramdin hit a half-century to reach a total of 195/6 at the Port of Spain. It marks a return to form for the West Indian wicket-keeper, who was not scoring well against Pakistan and the World XI a few months back. In the bowling department, Bravo is the leading wicket-taker for the side. Shannon Gabriel was expensive with the ball. Here we see the probable dream XI for Knight Riders:
Trinbago Knight Riders: Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum, Sunil Narine, Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, Denesh Ramdin, Dwayne Bravo, Javon Searles, Fawad Ahmed, Shannon Gabriel and Ali Khan.
It will be a defiant encounter between the two sides. Jamaica would look to kick-off their campaign with a win as they possess some real talent in the team which is capable of dominating their counterparts. The biggest blow for the team is Shahid Afridi who will miss the tournament due to rehabilitation following a persistent injury. New additions David Miller and Ross Taylor provide plenty of firepowers. With the ball, Imad Wasim now leads the spin bowling attack. Jamaica Tallawahs finished third in the league stage of last season’s CPL. Here are the probable dream XI for the Jamaican’s:
Jamaica Tallawahs: Johnson Charles, Rovman Powell, Ross Taylor, Andre Russell, David Miller, Glenn Phillips, Imad Wasim, Samuel Badree, Kemar Roach, Krishmar Santokie and Kirstan Kallicharan.
