Mumbai :  TCS rallied to beat ICICI Bank ‘A’ in a 3-2 thriller to storm into the team championship final, in the inaugural 11even Sports Corporate Table Tennis Tournament 2015, jointly organised by MCDTTA & MSDTTA, at Khar Gymkhana on Sunday.

ICICI Bank ‘A’ frittered away a 2-0 advantage after Vipul Mittal won the opening men’s singles and Prerna Mathur the women’s singles. TCS initiated a late recovery when Rupesh More and Sujan Narvekar won a comfortable men’s doubles, and Vishal Yadav and Maryann Jacob forced the decider with a thrilling 8-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 13-11 mixed doubles win, before More snatched the deciding singles with another nail-biting 8-11, 11-7, 7-11, 11-8, 17-15 win over Glen Coelho.

In the most absorbing contest of the day, Shashank Bist of Accenture rallied from 1-2 to beat Gautam Gandhi of Ogilvy & Mather 11-9, 10-12, 10-12, 11-8, 12-10 in a thriller that went down to the wire, to enter the men’s semi-finals.
