Mumbai: Stupendous display by former state player Sanjay Nemlekar, Hindu Gymkhana ‘B’ scored a thrilling 3-2 win over Garware Club House to bag the trophy in the inaugural Inter- Club Invitation Table Tennis tournament here recently. The final turned out to be a Sanjay Nemlekar show. Sanjay, who thrashed Sharad Grover in straight games to clinch the deciding fifth tie after both were locked at 2-2. Earlier, Sanjay had paired with another ex-state player Mahindra Chiplunkar to win the first doubles tie. Incidentially, Chiplunkar had earlier huffed and puffed to take his singles tie against Raj Jhaveri 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 9-11, 12-10.

Khushi Pawar from Dahisar’s Poorna Prajna school bagged the junior and sub-junior girls singles titles in the JLTTA- sponsored All India Balkan-Ji-Bari Dilip Sampat Memorial inter-school table tennis tournament, here on Monday.
Khushi defeated her teammate Bhoomi Pitale (11-6, 6-11, 12-10, 9-11, 16-14) in the junior girls final, repeated her domination with 11-4, 11-4, 8-11, 9-11, 11-7 in the su b–junior finals as well.
