MUMBAI : The Maharashtra State Inter-District and state badminton championships for seniors will be organised by Sports United at Chembur Gymkhana from August 29.
The unique feature of this year’s state championships is the new format for the inter-district team championships. The state body, from this year, have decided to hold the team event on the lines of Sudirman Cup with each team playing best-of-five tie, comprising men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Entries from their respective districts for team as well as open events will be accepted online – entry@mbasso.in upto August 21. The draw will be held on August 24.
