New Delhi: The IPL title sponsor PepsiCo and official broadcaster Multi Screen Media (MSM) are adopting a wait and watch strategy after the Supreme Court proposed to keep CSK and Rajasthan Royals ou of the T20 league. “The matter is sub-judice. We would not like to offer any comment,” a PepsiCo India spokesperson told PTI. The Food and beverages major had bagged the title sponsorship rights of IPL for the next five years (2013-17) for Rs 396.8 crore.
“It’s too early for us to say something on this. What BCCI would do, we cannot comment on that. We have to see the outcome of the Supreme Court order,” Multi Screen Media President Rohit Gupta said. Multi Screen Media, formerly Sony Entertainment Television, and World Sports Group had been signed as the official broadcast partners for IPL in a fresh nine-year deal running through to 2017 for a whopping Rs 8,200 crore in 2009
