Mumbai: Twice world runner-up Dhruv Sitwala fired the competition’s highest break of 155 to steer PJ Hindu Gymkhana 8 Musketeers to a 3-0 win over North Indian Association, in the fourth week of the Bombay Gymkhana Premier League billiards & snooker tournament.
Former world professional No. 7 Nalin Patel, who hit breaks of 123 and 99 earlier in the league, hit a brilliant 96 for his third big break in the tournament, as Bombay Gymkhana Phantoms snatched a thrilling 3-2 win over Shivaji Park Magicians in Group 3.
Patel and Siddharth Parekh gave Phantoms a 2-0 lead but Ashok Shandilya and Sanjay Bhagnari won the doubles and Shekhar Surve beat Patel in the 6-Red snooker tie to force the decider where state selection sub junior snooker champion Ishpreet Singh Chadha overcame Shandilya in the 6-Red tie.
