Shahid Afridi reacts to IMG-Reliance’s mid-season pull out from PSL 4, says ‘educated people don’t behave in such manner’

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi is again making headlines for wrong reasons. After the horrific Pulwama attack, IMG-Reliance had pulled their name back from the production of the ongoing PSL season in India. To this, Afridi was quoted saying by a Pak journalist Saj Sadiq, “You find out who your friends are at difficult times. What are they trying to show the world that they are educated? Educated people don’t behave in such a manner.”

Earlier, Afridi extended his support to their Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement after the terror attack on Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama attack. Khan denied any role of his country in the brutal attack and warned India against any retaliation. Supporting Khan, Afridi taking to Twitter said, ‘Absolutely crystal & clear’ while sharing the video of Government of Pakistan showing Imran Khan speaking on Pulwama incident.

“You (India) have blamed the Pakistan government without any evidence…If you have any evidence, we will act. It is in our interest that nobody from our soil spreads violence. I want to tell Indian government that we will take action if evidence is found against anyone from Pakistan,” Khan had said.

The Indian cricket fraternity has expressed its solidarity on social media and in public over the Pulwama attack. Many cricketers have requested BCCI to boycott India vs Pakistan World Cup clash, which is scheduled to be held on June 16 at England’s Old Trafford.
