Scottish, Garodia emerge winners

Mumbai : P.G. Garodia won the boys title while Bombay Scottish won the girls crown to emerge under-16 champions in the 2nd Don Bosco Inter School Basketball Championship. P.G. Garodia beat Shishuvan, Matunga 54-35 in the final, while Bombay Scottish, Mahim beat Mary Immaculate, Borivali 26-16 in girls’ championship round. Garodia found the basket at regular intervals in the third quarter in which they fired 17 points for a 38-23 advantage. Shishuvan struggled to find the form that helped them tame Don Bosco ‘A’. They narrowed the margin in the fourth quarter but Garodia were ahead with most valuable player Abhishek top-scoring with 18 points and Tanish adding 11.
