Pune: India’s Ruthvika Shivani Gadde and Lakshya Sen clinched the women’s and men’s singles titles respectively at the Sushant Chipalkatti Memorial India Junior International Badminton Championships here. Top seed Ruthvika thrashed Thailand’s Supamart Mingchua, seed d second, 21-9 21-6 in just 26 minutes, while sixth seed Lakshya beat compatriot Chirag Sen 21-18 21-15 in a 27-minute clash.
In men’s doubles, Indian pair of Krishna Prasad Garaga and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy beat Thailand’s Warit Sarapat and Panachai Worasaktyanan 21-15 21-17 to win the crown. Indian mixed doubles combine of Chirag Shetty and Sanjana Santosh also came close to clinching the title before finishing second best after losing 13-21 19-21 to top-seeded Indonesian pair of Ramadiansyah Andika and Mychelle Crhystine Bandaso.
