Rovin D’souza defends his title

Mumbai : Last year’s champion Rovin D’Souza, has become the first player to manage to defend the title by winning the final against Mahaesh Jagdale in the SPG-Park Club Billiards Tournament – 2015, which is being jointly organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club.

In the race to 375 points final game, Rovin (handicap -140) played with good steady control to defeat Mahesh (handicap -280) by a big difference of 375-258 points and capture the title for the second straight year. He was given a prize money of Rs 35,000 and the winning trophy and Jagdale was give a prize money of Rs 20,000 and the runners-up trophy. In the earlier semi-final round games, Rovin managed to defeat Amit Sapru (handicap -190) by a narrow score of 375-364 points and Mahesh easily defeated Arun Agrawal (handicap -825) by a easy 375-187 points. Both Sapru and Agrawal both received the prize-money of Rs 10,000 each.

Semi-final round (race to 375 points): Mahesh Jagdale (handciap -280) bt Arun Agrawal (handicap -825) 375-187.

Rovin D’Souza (handicap -180) bt Amit Sapru (handicap -190) 375-364.
