Mumbai:Ronnie Daruwalla of PJ Hindu Gymkhana snatched the crucial fourth frame by a whisker for an exciting 3-1 win in the senior billiards round robin, in the Maharashtra State Selection Billiards & Snooker Tournament on Monday.

After winning the opening two frames against Manav Panchal of the host club, Daruwalla snatched the fourth frame 101-99 in another tight finish to seal the win. Deependra Pinkyar of Shivaji Park Gymkhana edged Ibrahim Sheikh of Mandpeshwar Civic Federation, Borivali 100-32, 100-51, 98-100, 44-100, 100-81 in a Group A thriller, after leading by an envious 2-0 margin and losing the crucial third frame by just two points. Sheikh seized the opportunity to force the decider where he trailed 71-91, before Pinkyar took away the frame and match.
