Mumbai : Pune’s Manoj Kadam, Yesu Pillay and Kumar Shinde stormed into the pre-quarter-finals, in the 7th Pro Classic 6-Red Snooker Tournament for markers, organized and hosted by Islam Gymkhana on Thursday. While Kadam of PYC registered a hard-fought 3-1 win over Rajesh Mayavanshi of Malabar Hill Club, and Shinde eased past Ajit Kobnak of PJ Hindu Gymkhana 3-0, Pillay was forced into the decider before overcoming Upendra Ruke of Wodehouse Gymkhana 35-9, 34-62, 39-2, 8-39, 37-26 in the most absorbing match of the day.Walter Vaz of Bombay Gymkhana, Ravi Sawant of Garware Club, Sunil Khurde of MIG and I.S. Mhatre of Tata Sports Club also advanced to the pre-quarter-finals.
