Trainee nurses of Medical College lodge complaint against nursing superintendent

Ujjain: Trainee nurses of RD Gardi Medical College lodged a complaint against nursing superintendent, alleging him of passing lewd comments and threatening them of capturing their obscene video clips, here on Monday. Police booked nursing superintendent Ashok Gaud, teacher Mariam and Chief Medical and Health Officer ( CMHO) Dr Kishan Kidawal under Sections 354 A, 294, 34 and 506 of IPC.

According to police, victim Muniba Khan, 21, daughter of Ahmad Khan, resident of Sadalpura under Pipliya police station of Ratlam district, along with 35 trainee nurses, who have been doing their six- month long internship from RD Gardi Medical College, arrived at Chimanganj Mandi police station. She lodged a complaint against nursing superintendent Ashok Gaud, teacher Mariam and CMHO Dr Kishan Kidawal for their sexual harassment.

Victim alleged superintendent of passing obscene comments and threatening to kill her over phone. She also claimed that teacher Mariam and CMHO Dr Kidawal were also a part of the shameful act.

Trainee nurses also alleged the three accused of sexually exploiting them by insisting nurses to perform night duties. The three accused also threatened nurses saying if they lodge complaint in police, they will capture their obscene video clips. Most of the nurses are from Jaora, Ratlam, Manasa, Neemuch, Jawad, Rewa and others cities and they have been doing internship here since September 2013.

According to nurses, they had approached RD Gardi Medical College’s Dean Dr VK Mahadik, but he did not take any concern over their complaint. SI BS Kushwah is investigating the case.
