Famous cricket anchor and broadcaster Tanay Tiwari while speaking on The Raj Shamani podcast revealed the early life struggles of the Pandya brothers. He said, "Hardik Pandya and Kunal Pandya used to cook and eat Maggi. After training, they would ask the gardener to heat water and make Maggi. They used to play matches in Baroda for ₹200 by climbing truck and today one can see Richard Mille and G Wagen with them."

Once his mother told this story on some show that he saw one shoes, from outside and that she could not buy it for him. Jaspreet Bumrah is the brand ambassador of that brand today".
