Mumbai : PIFA Colaba FC produced good form in the second half, scoring three goals during this period to blank Maharashtra State Police 4-0 in a lop-sided Elite Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association League 2016-2017, and played at the Cooperage ground.

The policemen did well to match their rivals initially but their defence buckled under pressure and broke down on the stroke of the half-time whistle. PIFA striker capitalised on an opening to slot the ball home in the first minute of additional period in the first half to give his team a slender 1-0 dvantage.

Having tasted blood, FIFA completely dictated terms in the second session and with tree strikes took the fight out of the policemen. Hemant Meher scored two goals, the first in the 57th minute and the second in the 88th minute. In between those two goals Roger Sam struck one in the 60th minute to complete the scoring.’

Results – Elite Div: PIFA Colaba 4 (Sanjay Khair 45+1st, Hemant Meher 57th, 88th, Roger Sam 60th) beat Maharashtra State Police 0.
