Jaipur : Champions Pink Panthers after losing four in a row roared back to score an emphatic victory over Bengaluru Bulls 36-23 in the Pro Kabaddi League 2015 in Jaipur on Tuesday.
Only a consistent performance like the one they dished out against Bulls would help them improve its position in the league table. Pink Panthers moved to the fifth spot in the eight –team league with eight points. Bengaluru Bulls were placed third with 20 points. U Mumba is the emphatic leader with 30 points. The Pink Panthers for the first time played like the real champions and they showed this during the first half when mixing aggression with caution, the Panthers built up the lead in a tie that was marred by bad tempers.
Panther’s raider Kuldeep Singh came up with a tsunami–like raid to claim four victims. After being down at one stage at 9-14 after suffering an all-out, the Panthers came back roaring to score 10 points in a row to take a 19-15 lead at the break thus giving their fans reasons to rejoice. It was an excellent team effort after the Jaipur coach K Bhaskaran decided to substitute his captain Navneet Gautam, who somehow failed to raise his performance.
Man of the match and star raider Jasveer Singh was ecstatic during his answers. “This win is all because of our captain Navneet Gautam. It doesn’t matter that he wasn’t able to play the full match today because he was there supporting us.”
