Pakistan's hope of registering their first win in Champions Trophy 2025 could suffer a huge blow as the match against Bangladesh is likely to be washed out by the rain. According to the reports doing round on social media, the rain ha intensified in Rawapindi as a result of which the match is unlikely to start. If the match doie sgets called off both teams will receive single point helping them open their account in the tournament.

This is the second time that weather will be playing a spoilsport during the tournament. Earlier the crucial match between Australia and South AFrica was called off due to rain. The result saw both teams not only sharing the points but the Group B was also left wide open until Wednesday, February 26th.

Pakistan & Bangladesh's journey in Champions Trophy

Pakistan started the tournament in the worst possible fashion as they were outplayed by the Blackcaps in the Champions Trophy opener. They lost the match by 60 runs, meaning that the game against India was going to be a crucial one.

The match in Dubai saw Pakistan fail to put up a strong fight as Virat Kohli's hundred ensured that they won the match by 6 wickets. New Zealand's win against Bangladesh sealed their fate in the end. Bangladesh showed some fight in both their matches, but ultimately, faced defeats and exited yet another ICC tournament.
