Ipoh (Malaysia): The orgainsers of the Asia Cup were in for a embarrassment when they failed to play the national anthem of Chinese Taipei ahead of its clash against Japan on Sunday. As per world body’s (FIH) norm, it is mandatory to play the anthem of every team before an international tie. Soon after Japan’s national anthem was played, Chinese Taipei anthem never started due to some technical glitches.

When asked Chinese Taipei coach Chung Teng Wei about the glitch, he said:”It was not the ideal start to our match. My boys were obviously little disappointed that something like this happened with us. But you can’t blame the organisers as well because it was a technical fault. It was out of their control.”
