Mumbai : Aimed at fostering team spirit, team dynamics and inculcating respect for each other, ONGC Mumbai’s Annual Sports Tournament Director (Offshore) Trophy for 2014-15 culminated with an exhilarating spectacle.
The valedictory function was held amidst loud cheer and fanfare. T.K Sengupta, Director (Offshore) gave away the prizes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sengupta said that the trophy would assuredly increase team spirit and camaraderie among ONGCians. “ONGC Mumbai is known across the Oil & Gas sector for oneness and solidarity in its operations and performance,” he added.
Exhorting all ONGCians, he impelled one and all to maintain the sporting and fighting spirit towards all aspects of life. Around 750 ONGCians, including a record number of 108 women participated in the tournament which was inaugurated by S Gopinath, GGM – Head Regional office on February 16, 2015.
The finale witnessed a nail-biting cricket match between the Services-I team and a young team of first time finalists Neelam and Heera Asset, with Services-I team emerging winners in the ultimate over of their defense of
155 runs in 20 overs.
