Mumbai: Khar Gymkhana’s Muskaan Patel and hosts CCI’s Avni Vats were adjudged outstanding swimmers in the CCI 75th Platinum Jubilee swimming gala which was held recently. Both the swimmers entered in five events and won golds in all to aggregate 35 points in their respective girls under-17 and under-16 categories. However, none of the top performers in any of the age group could better the existing records.
Muskaan, who took golds in the 100m free style, butterfly, individual medley, back stroke and breast stroke. Avni, captured gold in the back stroke, breast stroke, freestyle, butterfly individual medley. Among boys, Dev Ambokar, from Glenmark Aquatic Foundation, with 33 points was the best in the under-16 section, while in the under-16, it was Amber Malandkar (Forest Club), who topped with four golds and a silver.
