Mumbai : Millwall FC, trailing 0-1 scored a late equaliser and then showed better nerves in the crucial penalty shootout tie-breaker to overcome Bandra Packers 5-4 in the semi-final of the Men’s Premier Division match of the 13th BWFA League 2015.
Packers were lucky to take the lead through an own goal scored by Millwall’s defender Sheldon Crasto. But Scott Tellis struck at the death heading home from a flag-kick to put Millwall on level terms and take the match to the tie-breaker. In the penalty shootout duel, Curt DeMello, Bradley Tellis, Brian Barnes and Sheldon Crasto were on target for Millwall FC, while Packers could only convert through Balram Yadav, Ranzie Kallicharan and Danish Qureshi.
The second semi-final was also decided by the tie-breaker with Chimbai SC getting the better of AK Chimbai by a 5-4 scoreline after the match had finished in an exciting 2-2 draw. During regulation time, Floyd Dharmai scored both the goals for Chimbai SC while AK Chimbai got their goals through Prashant Bhowad and Vishal Kapse.
