Mumbai : Hitesh Kotwani of Hindu Gymkhana looked very comfortable playing on his home table and produced another steady performance to register his second victory in Group ‘F’ league of the Rs 2 lakh prize-money P.J. Hindu Gymkhana Invitation Billiards Tournament 2016.
Kotwani build on small breaks, with 59 being his best break, en route to a 490-237 win against his club mate Sandeep Teli in the 90-minute round-robin match at the Hindu Gymkhana billiards hall. Kotwani had earlier defeated Rohan Jambusaria (MCF) by a very narrow margin of 372-335 points in the first group match. Meanwhile, Jambusaria managed to recover from that loss as he drubbed Sandeep Teli (PJHG) by a huge 502-170 margin. Jambusaria created breaks of 115, 82 and 56.
The star performer of the day was Hindu Gymkhana’s top seed and reigning Asian Billiards champ, Dhruv Sitwala, who warmed nicely for the stronger challenges ahead by striking a double century and two century breaks.
