Jets beat Riders To head the table

Mumbai: Hurricane knocks by skipper Swapnil Pradhan and Mumbai Ranji batsman Parag Khanapurkar helped Ghatkopar Jets overpower top- of-the-table Mumbai Police City Riders by 18 runs in the Tata Movus-Mitsui Shoji T-20 League on Thursday.

Having beaten Taxing Tigers (Shivaji Park) earlier in the morning, the Ghatkopar side now head the table, while debutants Taxing Tigers (Shivaji Park) were eliminated, with just a solitary win to their credit.Ghatkopar Jets, batting first,  managed to make 145 for 6 off 15 overs.

In reply, the City Riders failed to maintain the required  run-rate which was over 10 runs per over to end 18 runs short of their target.
