It was a thrilling finish to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 season 10 as Mumbai Indians edged Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) by 1 run in the final last night. Mumbai Indians held their nerves to defend 129 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad in a last-over thriller. As the curtains came down on the 10th edition of IPL, a number of individual awards were given away.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner and teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the Orange and Purple Cap awards. David Warner continued his dominance being the leading run-scorer batsmen. Warner scored 641 runs in 14 matches (4/50s, 1/100, Highest 126). The SRH skipper already had already bagged the Orange Cap in 2015 where he scored 535 runs in 12 matches including a crackling century against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

West Indies’ blistering cricketer, Chris Gayle of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), is the winner of Orange Cap most times, on two occasions. When IPL was flagged off in 2008, the first season saw Shaun Marsh amass 616 runs in mere 11 matches played for the Kings XI Punjab. Marsh scored a century, 115 against the Rajasthan Royals along with five half centuries. He blasted 59 fours and 26 sixes in the tournament.

The updated list of leading run-scorers or IPL Orange Cap Winners for all editions of T20 Cricket Tournament from season 2008-2017 is mentioned in the table.
