Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer wins toss and opts to field first

The toss at the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium went in favour of Punjab Kings and Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 clash, citing overcast conditions at the venue. Both Punjab and Mumbai have confirmed one changes each, with the former bringing in Yuzvendra Chahal for Musheer Khan. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have drafted in Reece Topley for the injured Richard Gleeson.

Should rain play spoilsport in Ahmedabad, Punjab Kings will go through to the IPL 2025 final due to finishing higher than the Mumbai Indians at the end of the league stage. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have already qualified for the final.
