Mumbai: Innara Luthria astride Eqnnex made a perfect combination of the beauty and the beast as the duo went on to grab top honours, on the fourth day of the National Equestrian Championship (NEC), held in association with the YPO-Gold, YEO and EO. The Amateurs Riders’ Club hosted the National Equestrian Championship and Maharashtra Horse Show (MHS) grade III along with Jumping Puissance, at the ARC Jumping Arena, Mahalaxmi Race Course. The Grade III round A and B saw over 13 riders taking part in this tournament. Matching the black, Eqnnex wearing light blue jeans and black jacket, Innara Luthria galloped away from her rivals in every department to the finish line ahead of others.
Jhanvi Payal astride Star of Manhatton did come close Innara Luthria, but it was too late as the former had to be content with the silver spoon. Nayantare Batra atop Jee Cube finished third, in the MHS Children Hacks contest, the first event in the evening. NEC Grade II Show Jumping Normal honours went to Basavaraju S (Dakar Z).
The championship which has witnessed Asian Games riders Yashaan Zubin Khambatta, Kaevaan Kevic Setalvad, and Zahan Kevic Setalvad participated along with SWR Praveen Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Ali Lakdawalla, Ashish Limaye and Basavaraju S. The Grade III round A and B saw over 13 riders taking part in this tournament.
